Setting Up the WordPress Plugin Only Took a Few Minutes
One thing I love about WordPress is that I don’t need to go mucking about with FTP or uploading files and such. In this WPAnalyst review I wanted to make sure that users understood just how easy it was to upload the plugin and set it up.
There is a video that explains the procedure much better than I can but simply put I was able to upload the plugin via the WordPress plugin installer interface and set up the plugin in less than 5 minutes. Simply plug in your license details that are emailed to you once you’ve purchased and then check off a few options and you’re set.
The plugin does have Moz tracking so you’ll need a Moz key in order to get that information. Don’t worry you can use a free key simply by signing up on Moz with your email.
What Does WPAnalyst Do to Help Me Rank Better?
The very first thing you’ll need to do in order to rank a website is to understand the metrics of the website and how those metrics help or hurt the rankings of that website. For my WPAnalyst review I installed the plugin on a site that is fairly new and doesn’t rank well yet. It does have some content but much of it is just filler content.
On the WPAnalyst page they list a 5 step system that helps you rank. The first step is the analyse the site. Here is the screenshot of my site analysis:
As you can see the plugin automatically pulls all sorts of data in that you can analyze. Each column in the plugin display allows you to sort that column. You can quickly determine your best content and also which content you have on your site has more authority.
Pictured above is the main screen of the WPAnalyst plugin after it was setup and a Moz key was added. Without the Moz key (which is free) the Domain Authority and Page Authority columns would not show. You can also view the social signals as well to see which of your pages or posts are being shared the most.
This sort of analysis can really help you understand why your site performs the way it does in search results. You can set the plugin to automatically look for broken links in your posts and pages however I did not for this WPAnalyst review. That’s why the “Check” button is located on the right side of the screenshot above.
Now You Can Inspect Each and Every Page
The next step is to make the SEO of your page better and inspect all the pages to make sure the links are the way they should be. This is one of the best features of WPAnalyst in my opinion. It allows you to quickly look at the internal links, external links, and also the broken links on each page. This is extremely useful when you start looking at the rankings for each page. You can see at a glance which pages on your site are the best in terms of linking both internally and externally.
WPAnalyst Also Tracks Your Keyword Positions
One of the rank tracking tools I used was called Pro Rank Tracker which was $15 per month as of last month. Now Pro Rank Tracker have decided to raise the prices of their rank tracking tool. Instead of paying $15 per month for tracking keywords the WPAnalyst plugin can track the keywords in your site for you and they are accessible right from the WordPress dashboard. Here is a screenshot of the rank tracker I added with a few keywords:
Start Sharing Your Site
Another great feature of WPAnalyst that I wanted to make sure to include in this WPAnalyst review is the ability to share your posts and pages from directly inside the dashboard. Simply click on the share button underneath the post or page name and you’re set.
The Overall WPAnalyst Review
As you can see the WPAnalyst plugin is packed with features that can help you analyze your site and inspect your pages and posts. Knowing these details can help you make the right decisions and also help to make your site rank better, faster.
